REGIONAL TRACTOR AND TRUCK PULL CHAMPIONSHIPS
AT 2010 WARREN COUNTY FAIR

Once again in 2010 the Warren County Fair near Pittsfield, Pennsylvania will be the scene of one of the top tractor and truck pulls in the area.  This year’s pulls will take place on Friday, August 13th with the standard 8:00pm starting time established.  Full Pull Productions of Jamestown, Pennsylvania returns as the promoter of this event for the 21st year.  In the past the Warren County Fair pulling events have been complete sell-outs and with new classes and new excitement this year will be no different.

Coming to the Fair this year will be two different classes that will be sanctioned through the Empire State Pullers of western New York and will count for points in their respective 2010 point races.  “Empire State Pullers have been willing to work with us again for the 2010 pulls”, said Jerry Jesperson, Chairperson of the pulls at Warren County.  “We are very happy to be able to schedule both the Modified Tractors and the Super Stock Tractors from ESP for our pull this year”.

Modified Tractors feature up to three super-charged engines with up to 3600 horsepower.  These alcohol-fueled monsters can also be powered by jet engines and motors from military aircraft.   These are the most powerful tractors in the pulling sport.  Both the multiple engines with piston-driven power and the Allison aircraft engines will be on display with the ESP series.  Last year the Joe Eder built “Gambler” tractor driven by Mark Cole of Pavilion, New York took home the trophy at Warren County.

The Empire State Pullers’ Super Stock Tractor class has proven to be a great pulling division in the past years.  At least a dozen of these ‘smoker’ tractors can be expected at any event that is ESP sanctioned.   John Deere, International, Ford and others are all found within this group of pullers.  Henry Everman of Dansville, New York is the returning champion with his “Final Decision” International 1066.  This tractor was also the winner a year ago at the Warren County Fair while competing in the “Smoker Series”.

Also returning to the pulling program this year at the Warren County Fair will be the very popular Big Rigs Semi Trucks sanctioned by USA-EAST Sled Pulling.  Mack trucks have dominated this field in recent years with the newly engineer V-8 engine with 998 cubic inches proving responding to its popularity with awesome power.  However the return of the Cummins-powered “Mr. Nasty” Peterbilt with Don Snyder, Jr. driving looks to be a serious contender in 2010.

Another new class in 2010 will be the Pro Stock Diesel 4x4 Trucks from the USA-EAST Regional point Series.  This division features all of the major brands with Dodge, Ford and Chevrolet all competing.  One of the top trucks is the red Dodge of Vince Aftuck from Scio, New York.  And John Jordan from Saegertown, Pennsylvania will be a force with his Duramax GMC turbo-charged machine.

The Warren County Fair event takes place on the Friday evening of annual Warren County Fair in Pittsfield, Pennsylvania.  The facility is located just of Routes 27 and 6 in the western part of Warren County.  Tickets are available at the gate on the day of the event with advance tickets sold at a discount through the Warren County Fair office.
